Once upon a time, our friend Karen Cuda (Hemi Cuda, Nashville Pussy, Egoista) was experiencing severe damage to her neck from years of slinging a heavy bass guitar night after night. You may recall something similar happening to Tom Arraya from Slayer. It's basically a permanent bang-over. The Denver Music Scene came together and organized a series of benefit shows to help with Karen's medical expenses. MF Ruckus performed at one such event at our home bar, 3 Kings Tavern.
This also happened to be during a highly transitional time for the band.
This was recorded right after Tay Hamilton parted ways with the band, but right before Jerry Cass left and Parker Meehan joined. “The Dirty Half Dozen” would drop the following year and “Thieves of Thunder” was but a twinkle in our eye.
It’s a fun, loud and brown performance with tons of great jokes and even a 3 song farewell by Tay Hamilton in the final stand of the “Dirty Half Dozen” lineup.
Enjoy!
